Questions often asked about my MX Riding Technique DVDs:
The oldest was produced in 1992. At this time the newest production is 2011 and 2012. The techniques are still the same but there are several new techniques in the newer DVDs. Of course the bikes and gear look different. At the end of every DVD description will be the copyright date (example CR 2006).
There are three Technique Series Volumes (Technique Series Volume I including DVDs 1 through 8, Series Volume II including DVDs 1 through 4) and Series Volume 3 including DVDs 1 through 8. Then there are five stand alone DVDs, two CDs and a Motocross Practice Manual. It’s fine to buy an entire Series or buy them in order but you don’t have to except for the Volume 3 Series as it is made to watch in order. The best way is to read the DVD descriptions and watch the DVD preview. Some DVDs are broad; covering a lot of different techniques and some are more specialized; going more in depth on certain techniques and subjects. If you have any questions contact Cindy (email@example.com or Gary firstname.lastname@example.org) or call our Office; 330-424-8049 or Gary’s cell; 330-277-9588.
Yes; 2 stroke or 4 stroke, the techniques are still the same. Of course, there is a different feel between the two but the riding techniques are the same.
Most of the DVDs are beneficial for even the youngest riders. We have found that even 4, 5 and 6 year olds will watch our DVDs for weeks. In this case they learn from seeing and hearing things through repetition. The DVDs that are not beneficial for riders under 14 are the fitness training DVDs like; Eliminating Armpump and The MX Conditioning DVDs.
Yes, the techniques apply to the motorcycle and rider.
# 3 in Volume I was produced in 1994; # 3 in Volume II was produced in 2006. The newer DVD has more techniques.
Our Private MX Lesson DVD, both #3 DVDs in Volumes 1 and 2 and DVDs 6, 7 and 8 in Volume 3 teach jumping techniques.
